I am Full Professor at the Department of Management & Technology at Bocconi University, where I also serve as Director of the PhD in Business Administration and Management. I am Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and Research Member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI).
I work in the area of corporate governance and family business. I am also interested in the interactions between strategy, finance and innovation, and in the behavioral aspects of corporate decision-making. My research has been published in top journals such as Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Law & Economics. The findings of my research are frequently featured in several media outlets in business and finance.
I serve as Associate Editor of Management Science and Journal of Corporate Finance, and as Editorial Review Board Member of Strategic Management Journal and Corporate Governance: An International Review.
I teach Management, Family Firms and Econometrics in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate courses.
I am a marathoner and snowboarder, loving my homeland Sicily.
