About me

I am Full Professor at the Department of Management & Technology at Bocconi University. I am also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), and a Board Member of the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS).

My research focuses on corporate governance and family business, with broader interests in the intersections of strategy, finance, and innovation, and the behavioral dimensions of corporate decision-making. My work has been published in leading journals including Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Law & Economics. My findings are regularly featured in business and finance media outlets.

I serve as Associate Editor of Management Science and Journal of Corporate Finance, and as a member of the Editorial Review Board of Strategic Management Journal.

I teach courses on management, family firms, and econometrics at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Learn more about my teaching activities and upcoming courses.

Outside of work, I divide my time between the Alps — where I ski and run — and my homeland, Sicily.
